A. Rankings are updated every hour. If you sent a hit, and two hours later you still do not see an update then use your reload/refresh button to get an updated page in your browser.

Q. How are the popularity ratings calculated ?
A. We calculate these on the basis of 3 variables a) The number of incoming hits from your site, b) The number of outgoing hits to your site and c) the relevancy of the content of your site to visitors of bestbookz.co.uk.

Q. My site is a lot better than other sites that have more hits in, and higher rankings than me, why do they get more hits in.
A. It is probably because you do not have your link back to bestbookz.co.uk in a good enough spot, or no one can see it good enough to click on it.

Q. I saw my site in the rankings, and the next day it was gone.
A. The database was most likely re-set, and you have not sent any "hits in" to get re-listed.

Q. How often is the database re-set, and why ?
A. The database is reset every 6 weeks. This is to ensure that the popularity of the resources and material is accurately guaged to take account of new materials / sites and maybe a drop off in the popularity of older material.

Q. I am trying really hard to get to the number one ranking, even going so far as to cheat and trick people into voting for me, how come this is not working.
A. Cheaters never prosper. There are security measures in place to circumvent cheating attempts, and we do terminate accounts of persistent offenders.
